July 26 this is simply a great regatta. Not as formal as
the big ones over on the MESSAGE FROM THE COACHING STAFF 5/07/2008 We are introducing a new look to our coached rows. This year we are encouraging all members to partner with each other to form regular crews. We recognize that sometimes it is not easy matching available time commitments and goals but the coaches are there to help. We will if course 'crew' rowers as they arrive to the row but if you have a partner, even just for that row or would like to try something different, please let us know. Whenever possible, we will keep our first year rowers together so they may continue their learning to row experience comfortable with their crewmates. This will mean that our first year rowers will require the majority of our time but we won't be hard to find on the water for anyone with coaching questions. Helen Healey is putting together a list of regattas for all abilities and a training program is still in the works to help us all with our goals whether simply improving our fitness or training for a half dozen regattas this year. For those keyed members who do not wish to participate in coached rows and wish to row outside these times, please ensure club boats are back at the dock at the scheduled start of the coached row. We are all looking forward to a very successful year but we can't do it without you. All members of the executive and coaching staff are approachable and would appreciate any comments or suggestions you have.
THANK YOU MIKE! 3/17/2008 A big thank you to Mike Hall for organizing the head race last Saturday! It was a great turnout and lots of fun and we hope to be doing more of those fun races this season.
