QUALIFIED ROWER'S RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES
A qualified rower is responsible for other rowers in their boat and has delegated authority in the absence of a coach specifically assigned to that boat.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To act as a role model for less experienced rowers.
- To be responsible for unqualified (novice) rowers' safety, equipment and behaviour during unsupervised times.
- To be within 750 m of any unqualified rowers during unsupervised times. Always within visual contact.
- To communicate willingness or unwillingness to supervise unqualified rowers.
RIGHTS
- To be in possession of a key to the boat compound.
- To access boats during unsupervised times.
- To row during unsupervised times following club rules.
- To refuse the supervision of unqualified rowers.
