HEAD OF THE NICOMEKL REGATTA 2025

​The Nicomekl Rowing Club is hosting the 29th Annual Head of the Nicomekl Regatta on Saturday September 27, 2025.

Each year, the Nicomekl Rowing Club membership hosts this 6 km regatta marking the start of the head race season. Teams from all over British Columbia compete in this a 6 KM Head Race. Last year there were 23 clubs entered with 165 entries. 

The course is a 6k head-race down the winding Nicomekl River in South Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Beautiful, protected flat water with an open 1km run to the finish that can challenge crew skills.  The course is similar in length, twists and turns to the Head of the Charles.
